Yicheng Wang

Yicheng Wang is a post-doctoral researcher on architecture. She is one of the first Ph.D. candidates who completed the dual-degree in the program “Architecture. History and Project” in the joint Ph.D. between Politecnico di Torino and South China University of Technology (SCUT), earning a “cum laude” (Honors Distinction) from Politecnico di Torino and a full “A” rating from SCUT. She joined the China Room research group in 2021. She has been the project manager of the collaborative team between POLITO and SCUT, contributing to the Net-Zero-Energy house ‘LONG-PLAN’ for Solar Decathlon China 2018. Her research is about performance-oriented design theories and practices for large-space public buildings, focusing on developing architectural strategies and design methods to address the challenges posed by climate change.
