Through a detailed observation of the relations between the port of Piraeus and its hinterland, Aspropyrgos, this contribution highlights how the expansion of the logistics spaces in the inland generate novel forms of spatial appropriation. These are home to heterogeneous practices oscillating between formality and informality. The resulting mixed-use spaces generate a multiplicity of precarious urbanities, which are, however, as important as the traditional port spaces in making the large-scale logistics operations work properly.
