Edoardo Bruno

Edoardo Bruno is Architect and researcher at the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) of the Polytechnic University of Turin, where he earned his PhD in “Architecture. History and Project” in 2017. Since 2015, he has been responsible for the activities of the South China – Torino Lab, a Joint Research Center between the Polytechnic University of Turin and the South China University of Technology (SCUT), and a member of the China Room Research Team. Among his experiences, he was among the curators of the Italian Pavilion for the Shenzhen Design Week 2018, Principal Architect for the transformation of the Main Workshop into the Big Air Venue for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games, Shougang – Beijing 2022, and Executive Curator for the “Eyes of the City” exhibition, organized for the 2019 Shenzhen Architecture/Urban Planning Biennale. Starting in 2023, he is responsible for on-site research at the Polito Japan Hub initiative based in Kyoto, promoting academic and industrial cooperation for the Polytechnic University of Turin in Japan. His research focuses on architectural design and urban processes within contemporary Asian cities, intersecting applied and field research.
