Shuang Jin

Shuang Jin is a joint PhD candidate at Tsinghua University and Politecnico di Torino. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Tsinghua University, as well as a second Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied at the University of Oregon as an exchange student. Before starting her PhD, she worked for four years as an architect, contributing to housing and elderly care projects in Beijing. She is currently conducting interdisciplinary research that integrates architecture, ergonomics, and movement biomechanics, exploring the coupling between human behavior and residential spatial design. Her work aims to promote health-supportive, human-centered design strategies that improve the adaptability of domestic spaces to aging and everyday life.
