Ling Xiang
Ling Xiang is an architect and a Ph.D. candidate in Architecture, History, and Project at the Politecnico di Torino. Ling completed his master degree with honors in 2018, thanks to a thesis developed in collaboration with the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since 2019, Ling Xiang has engaged in collaborations with several professional studios in Turin and works as a freelance architect, serving the local Chinese community in Italy. In 2020, he started the PHD research at the Politecnico di Torino within the China Room research group, focusing on urban living spaces in China. His research, titled Domestic Space in Transition: Bathroom Design Evolution in China’s Urban Housing Models since 1949, falls under the Piemonte Home Design framework promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin and the Politecnico di Torino.
