Zhao Hanqing

Zhao Hanqing was born in China in 1995, whose academic journey has traversed the realms of design, architecture, and cultural studies. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture, History, and Project at Politecnico di Torino. He earned his Design Master’s Degree at Southeast University in China. His doctoral research is centered on The interactive transformation of urban and rural spaces: Questioning authenticity and (post-)productivism between Italy and China. He has conducted an investigation into the transformations in the urban-rural interactions within the context of socio-economic transitions faced by rural areas in China and Italy. His research places particular emphasis on discerning the impact of divergent cultural contexts on the social structures of rural communities.
