Francesca La Monaca, a Ph.D. student at the Department of Architecture, History, and Design of the Polytechnic University of Turin, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan. During her master’s and Ph.D., she supplemented his education with international experience as a visiting student at Tongji University in Shanghai and South China University of Technology in Guangzhou. She is currently engaged in research sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce on the Chinese Real Estate market as part of the Piemonte Home Design project. Her research explores the integration of traditional Chinese architecture and landscape elements into contemporary residential design, with a specific focus on gardens. Her investigation expresses an interest in the recovery of past cultural features and indicates a commitment to defining certain contemporary architectural practices through cultural consideration.
