Huishu Deng is a post-doctoral researcher on architecture, who is involved inthe SNSF project collaborating with the HAT Group at the College of Humanities, EPFL, Switzerland. She is also a core member of the Urban Ergonomics Lab atTsinghua University, China. Trained as an architect and architectural researcher,she received her Ph.D. in Architecture from Tsinghua University with a thesis on the essential spatial conditions for spontaneous urban leisure physical activitiesthrough the methods of motion tracking and simulation. Since 2016, she hasalso worked in the architectural design and planning group for the Beijing2022 Olympic Winter Games. She is now conducting interdisciplinary researchbetween architecture and digital humanities, focusing on the analysis of placeattachment, spatial cognition, and aesthetic experience through digital tools.
