“On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Shanghai World Expo, the article analyzes the reuse sceneries of the area. Ten years after the Expo, which are the implications of the urban policies established by the event? What is the legacy left to the city by the event? Through these questions the projects presented in the contribution will show two main strategies for the reconversion of the 2010 Expo area into the new Expo Cultural Park planned for the new decade. The first approach shows the conservation of some of the pavilion of the exhibition of 2010, with a punctual readjustment of the functions. Parallelly to the reuse of some of the structures, a second approach sees the construction of new landmark realized by internationals architecture offices as an integration of the Expo Cultural Park.”
