Today at 7:00 pm CET our fellows Edoardo Bruno, Valeria Federighi, Camilla Forina, Monica Naso and Michele Bonino will present the paper “Platform, container, environment. 2019 Shenzhen Biennale as innovation in practice” at the EAAE-ARCC International Conference.

The conference is aimed to investigate the role of architects and society in setting the basis for future development considering planetary challenges.

The paper looks at the curatorial process of the 2019 Shenzhen Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism as a way to access a select sample of internationally mobile contemporary practices whose work is produced at the intersection between profession, academia, and independent research. A select number of installations from the exhibition were analysed in order to show recurrent trajectories and actions in response to external contingencies.
